Insight from UK leaders in university innovation and enterprise

We invited experts responsible for innovation and enterprise initiatives at the Universities of Bristol, Bath and Loughborough to share their practical experiences of creating distinctive, investment-winning brands.

Our aim? To help others who are leading similar initiatives.

We asked them:

  1. What does success look like for innovation and enterprise leaders, like you?

  2. What triggered you to realise that you needed a distinctive brand to be successful?

  3. What barriers have you had to overcome, internally
    and externally?

  4. If someone else is starting on your journey today, what would you say to them?

Unsurprisingly perhaps, much of the conversation centred around the challenges of meeting the needs of different stakeholder groups and galvanising people around a common vision. There was recognition too, of the role having a strong brand plays in eliminating confusion, building consensus and creating focus.
